Top 10 Tuesday: All About the Words

This week's theme could be interesting though I'm struggling with it - favorite or funny words found in books or words you wish were used in books. Hmmmm - I think I'm going to go with descriptive words I wish I used in writing reviews. Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl is hosting another week of Top Ten Tuesday. I enjoy participating each week for a couple reasons. I'm a compulsive list maker and love a good list. And, I love a connection with other readers as I wander their book blogs.

So here are my rarely used descriptive words that I wish I used more often. Here goes.

Instead of COMPELLING, use ENTHRALLING or MESMERIZING.

Instead of PRETTY or ATTRACTIVE, use RESPLENDENT or WINSOME.

Instead of GREAT (much overused!), use REMARKABLE or ASTOUNDING, or TERRIFIC.

Instead of PALS or FRIENDS, talk about CAMARADERIE.

Instead of TRICKED or FOOLED, use BAMBOOZLED.

And then, find a way to work these fun words into a review:

GUMPTION

SKEDADDLE

FLUMMUXED

SHENANIGANS

RIGAMAROLE
