Stacking the Shelves #4 - Sunday Post #4 - Sunday Salon #4

It's the weekend, so it must be time to enjoy a few of my favorite book memes.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted every Saturday by Marlene @ Reading Reality and promotes sharing books you actually received during the week - library, purchase, ARC, gift, etc. as well as what you think you might read in the upcoming week. The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and is a place to share posts, reviews, personal updates, etc. The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb @ ReaderBuzz is a similar format. Join me in visiting the wide array of book blogs in the world.

BOOKS I FINISHED LAST WEEK AND WHAT I'M READING NOW

I finished 3 books (Louise Penny was audio); reviews on all coming next week so check back.

Currently Reading:

Reading an ARC, a library book and an audio book - depending on my mood.

BOOKS ADDED TO GOODREADS LAST WEEK

I added 6 books to Goodreads last week.

PUBLISHED ON THE BLOG LAST WEEK

I published 2 reviews: The Catch by Alison Fairbrother and The Gatekeeper by James Byrne.

Also participated in Top 10 Tuesday and shared books on my "wish I owned this book" list

PERSONAL UPDATE

The big news in my life is that our older son tested positive for covid on Tuesday, with mild symptoms. The family had just spent all day Sunday together for Father's Day, so I opted to work the rest of the week from home (luckily I'm able to do that!) since I didn't want to be the cause of someone at work getting sick. Hubby & I tested negative today, so looks like everyone else in the family are okay. Whew! And of the immediate family, he and his wife are by FAR the most careful - and yet they've both had it and none of the rest of us have. Weird.

SHARING ONE OF MY PHOTOS OF MY BEAUTIFUL HOME STATE: WASHINGTON

I continue to enjoy meeting so many of you through these connections. Hope you all have a fabulous week and make time to put your feet up and enjoy a good book!

Welcome to Bookshelf Journeys.

It's my goal to provide real reviews of the books I read without totally rehashing every plot. I'll never spoil a story by giving away a plot twist! Hopefully you'll find one or two of interest and will discover a new book or author to add to YOUR TBR list.  Take a moment to explore, read a couple reviews, and let me know what you think.

                            TIPS

For your convenience, I use #hashtags in the reviews and when you click on one, you'll find more books with that theme. Hopefully you'll find it a helpful way to navigate the site and find books you'll enjoy. I've also recently added tags that will show up at the end of each review that serve the same purpose.

The review ratings are based on a 5 star  (1/2 stars sometimes) system with a 3 being an average read for me. I hope you find that helpful. Knowing, of course, that all opinions are just that - my opinion!  Let me know if you agree or disagree - I'd love to hear from you.
