Weekend Book Sharing and Blog Visits #36

It's the weekend, so it must be time to enjoy a few of my favorite book memes. This is a great opportunity for readers and bloggers to share what they've been up to - both newly received books, what you've read or want to read and any bookish or personal news/updates.

I'll be linking to: Stacking the Shelves is hosted every Saturday by Marlene @ Reading Reality The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb @ ReaderBuzz, Mailbox Monday hosted by Words and Peace is also a weekly gathering place to share new books received. PERSONAL UPDATE
Such a busy week - parties last weekend, very busy work week, overnight company this Friday through the weekend. But after this flurry of activity, life calms back down and returns to normal. I don't think we have a weekend thing on our calendar for weeks!
A PHOTO BY TERRIE PURKEY - CELEBRATING SUNNY TRAVEL MEMORIES

It's been so gray and dreary, I'm in the need of some sun so I was remembering our trip to Amsterdam - it was maybe too much sun since it reached 100 degrees for the first time ever and no a/c in sight! But it was a fabulous visit to a lovely city.
When I think of Amsterdam, I think of canals and bikes......so here you go.
De Waag canal and a bike 'parking lot'.

Hope you have a most excellent upcoming week and hopefully finding time to enjoy a good book. Looking forward to visiting as many as I can again this week!
