It's the weekend, so it must be time to enjoy a few of my favorite book memes. This is a great opportunity for readers and bloggers to share what they've been up to - both bookish and personal.
Stacking the Shelves is hosted every Saturday by Marlene @ Reading Reality and promotes sharing books you actually received during the week - library, purchase, ARC, gift, etc. as well as what you think you might read in the upcoming week. The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and is a place to share posts, reviews, personal updates, etc. The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb @ ReaderBuzz is a similar format. CHALLENGE UPDATE
This year I just have two challenges: Beat the Backlist (books already on my TBR for at least a year) which I am totally struggling with. Of the 50 prompts suggested, I have read only 25. Sigh. I plan on getting to a few more before the end of the year, but......
The second challenge I just joined in October runs for the last quarter - COYER (clear out your e-reader) and the goal is to read at least half of the books I preselect to read before the end of the year. I chose 54 books to give myself options, so to successfully complete the challenge, I have to read a minimum of 27 from the list by the end of the year. Currently I'm 18/27.
PERSONAL UPDATE
This has been a very quiet week. Work, reading, blogging, enjoying Seattle fall sunshine and the gorgeous views of Mt. Rainier every day this week. Took the photo below of the mountain this week from my deck.
