PERSONAL UPDATE
All the other categories may be a bit thin this week because I've been on vacation. We spent the week in Puerto Vallarta for some relaxation in the sun - if I have a chance, I'll post a few pics here in lieu of books. But rest assured, I did read. I just don't know how the wifi will be or how much time I'll have to post. More of an update when I get back. In the meantime, if you visit, I promise I'll return the visit sometime this week!
We vacationed with our grown sons and their wife/girlfriend - I think everyone had a great time. We all expected hot weather, but it was HOT and humid so the double whammy sucked our energy some days. We persevered in our pursuit of fun adventures - and had some surprises and disappointments along the way. My older son was having severe back pain which curtailed his participation in most of the activities and when he did come along, he didn't really do much. Then, his wife was stung by a sea urchin on a snorkeling trip which cut that one short. Ah well. We enjoyed our share of margaritas, great food, and beautiful sunsets.

I think our favorite thing of the week was this "tour" where we were able to release rescued baby turtles to the sea. They had just hatched that day and each of us got 2 turtles in a coconut shell that we turned on its side on the sand and watched our hatchlings crawl their way - about 20'- to the ocean. It was amazing!
