Stacking the Shelves #15, Sunday Post and Sunday Salon #15

It's the weekend, so it must be time to enjoy a few of my favorite book memes.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted every Saturday by Marlene @ Reading Reality and promotes sharing books you actually received during the week - library, purchase, ARC, gift, etc. as well as what you think you might read in the upcoming week. The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and is a place to share posts, reviews, personal updates, etc. The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb @ ReaderBuzz is a similar format. Join me in visiting the wide array of book blogs in the world.

PERSONAL UPDATE
We had a great visit with Vancouver, WA friends last weekend and discovered an amazing dahlia farm in Canby, OR. Dahlias come in so many sizes, shapes, colors, and combos that looking at acres of them is just FUN. I have a couple varieties on my wish list.
I made a terrific discovery this week. I was updating my celebrity book lists (post above) and checked on LeVar Burton. Went down a rabbit hole and discovered he has a podcast where he reads a short story - less than 1 hour - so I listened to two today on my commute, which is about 40 minutes each way. What a delightful way to kill time in the car! I listened to Stephen King's Afterlife and John Wiswell's Open House on Haunted Hill. If you haven't tried it yet, check out LeVar Burton Reads. You get a little background music, sound effects, great voicing, and a short book 'analysis' at the end.

Hope you have a most excellent upcoming week and hopefully finding time to enjoy a good book. Looking forward to visiting as many as I can again this week!
