The Currently Reading Tag - Play Along?

I haven't done a 'tag' in a couple years and I came across this one on Emily's blog Budget Tales Book Blog who found it on Charlotte Somewhere. It's kind of a fun series of questions to get to know another reader's habits.
Here goes:
How many books do you usually read at once?
Typically I have as many as three going - an audio for my commute (sometimes), a physical book that I take back and forth to work, and a Kindle book that I usually read before bed. Sometimes at the end of an audio book, I'll take a week or two while waiting for the next one from the library and catch up on my bookish podcasts or listen to LeVar Burton read me a short story. AND, I've discovered they have to be all different genres or I tend to get them mixed up!
If you're reading more than one book, how do you decide when to switch reading to the other book?
The book changes are pretty self-defined. I listen to audio on my commute or sometimes while doing yard work. I can't seem to manage it while I'm doing chores - I find I don't pay enough attention to the story. The Kindle I read mostly in bed so I don't have to turn the light on or when I travel and the physical book I read every other time.

Do you ever switch bookmarks when you're partway through a book?
No. I own a collection of bookmarks and on the rare time I have two physical books going, they each get separate bookmarks.
Where do you keep the book you're currently reading?
Kindle generally stays on my nightstand. The physical books floats around the house, wherever I set it down or it's at work in my desk drawer.
What time of day do you spend the most time reading?
Hmm. I read at meal times, I read during commercials if I'm watching TV, I read in and around all my daily activities (except at work, of course!). Probably the longest stretch of uninterrupted reading is usually before bed - 30-40 minutes.
How long do you usually read in one go?
Probably 30-40 minutes. I rarely sit still long enough to read more than that at a time.
Do you read hardcovers with the dust jacket on or off?
Always off.
Do you take the book you're currently reading everywhere you go?
Yes. If I forget the physical book or it's too big, then I always have what's on my Kindle available on my phone.
How often do you update your progress on the book you're currently reading on Goodreads?
I don't use that feature of Goodreads; I feel like I'm lucky to remember tracking the book I'm reading at all. I'm gradually switching to Storygraph, so for now I'm doing double entries. If you haven't explored Storygraph yet, give it a look. They have great tracking features with charts and graphs, a super easy way to track challenge progress, and a more complete, interesting review page.
Why don't you take a minute and add these tag questions to your blog - we'll get a glimpse into your reading life.
